Cancellations

This Cancellation and Refund Policy governs cancellations and refunds in relation to payments made on the Sikhs for Business platform, website, application, or any related services operated by Sikhs for Business.
By making a payment on the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation and Refund Policy, along with the Platform’s Terms and Conditions.

1. Scope and Applicability

This Policy applies to all payments made on the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • membership fees,
  • event registration fees,
  • ticket bookings,
  • program participation charges,
  • service fees,
  • digital access fees,
  • and any other payments collected through the Platform.
  • This Policy forms an integral part of the Platform’s Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and any other terms published on the Platform, this Policy shall govern only with respect to cancellation and refund matters.

    2. General Cancellation Policy

Once a membership, registration, booking, ticket, or service request is successfully placed and confirmed, it may not be cancelled except as expressly permitted under this Policy or where otherwise required under applicable law. Cancellation requests, if allowed for a particular offering, shall be considered only if:

  • the request is made before the relevant service, event, membership, or benefit is activated, accessed, scheduled, delivered, or used,
  • the request is made within the timeline, if any, specifically stated for that offering on the Platform,
  • and the request satisfies all applicable terms communicated at the time of purchase.
  • Sikhs for Business reserves the right to reject cancellation requests where the relevant offering has already been confirmed, activated, consumed, substantially performed, or is by nature non-cancellable.

    3. Membership Fees

All membership fees paid on the Platform are non-cancellable and non-refundable once the membership has been activated, approved, or the member has been granted access to membership benefits, community access, digital privileges, event entitlements, or any related member services.
If a user makes a duplicate payment for the same membership by mistake, Sikhs for Business may review the matter and process a refund for the duplicate amount, subject to verification.

    4. Event Registrations and Ticket Bookings

All event registrations, bookings, passes, and ticket purchases made through the Platform are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable once confirmed.
No refund shall be provided for:

  • non-attendance,
  • change in personal schedule,
  • failure to use the ticket or registration,
  • late arrival,
  • refusal to participate after successful registration,
  • or any other personal reason not attributable to Sikhs for Business.
  • However, in exceptional cases, Sikhs for Business may, at its sole discretion, permit transfer, rescheduling, partial credit, or any other accommodation, without being under any obligation to do so.

    5. Service Fees and Digital Access

Payments made toward service-based offerings, digital access, downloadable resources, consultations, program access, or other similar offerings shall be non-cancellable and non-refundable once the relevant service has commenced, access has been granted, or the digital content has been delivered or made available.

    6. Circumstances Where Refund May Be Considered

Refunds may be considered only in the following limited situations:

  • a duplicate payment has been successfully charged for the same transaction,
  • the payment has been debited but the corresponding order, registration, or access was not successfully created due to a technical failure,
  • Sikhs for Business is unable to provide the paid offering for reasons solely attributable to Sikhs for Business,
  • or where Sikhs for Business expressly agrees to a refund in writing at its sole discretion.
  • Any approved refund shall be subject to internal verification and validation of the transaction details.

    7. Failed Transactions

In cases where the amount is debited from the user’s payment source but the transaction is not successfully completed on the Platform, the matter may either be:

  • automatically reversed by the payment gateway or banking partner, or
  • reviewed by Sikhs for Business upon receipt of a valid support request.
  • Users are advised to allow reasonable time for automatic reversals before raising a refund request.

    8. Payment Gateway

All payments on the Platform are processed through Razorpay or such other authorized payment gateway as may be enabled on the Platform from time to time.

    9. Refund Method

If a refund is approved, the refund shall be processed back to the original payment method used for the transaction.
For example, if payment was made through a credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or any other supported mode, the refund amount shall be credited back to that original source, subject to the rules and timelines of the relevant payment gateway, bank, card network, or financial institution.

    10. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds are generally processed within a reasonable time. However, the time taken for the amount to reflect in the user’s account depends on the payment method, banking systems, and payment gateway processes.
In most cases, the refund amount may reflect within 5 to 7 business days, though it may take longer in certain cases depending on the banking partner or payment method used.

    11. Refund Fees and Charges

Sikhs for Business does not ordinarily charge a separate refund processing fee for normal approved refunds. However, any charges, deductions, reversals, or limitations imposed by banks, payment gateway providers, card networks, or intermediaries shall be governed by their respective policies and may apply where relevant.

    12. Right to Reject Refund or Cancellation Requests

Sikhs for Business reserves the right to reject any cancellation or refund request if:

  • the request does not satisfy the terms of this Policy,
  • the transaction is found to be genuine and successfully completed,
  • the service, membership, booking, ticket, access, or benefit has already been utilized, delivered, or activated,
  • the claim is fraudulent, incomplete, misleading, or unverifiable,
  • or the request is otherwise inconsistent with the Platform’s Terms and Conditions.
  • The decision of Sikhs for Business in such matters shall be final, subject to applicable law.

    13. Changes to This Policy

Sikhs for Business reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Any such changes shall become effective upon being published on the Platform.
Users are encouraged to review this page periodically to stay informed of the current Policy.
